Ball Lock Bev Out Cleaner

From Herb's brewhaus comes another great little gadget that can make your beverage line clean-up quicker and easier.

Screw a beer-out post onto a garden-hose quick-disconnect. Use a small O in the fitting to hold the poppet in place.

Some garden disconnects have back flow stoppers that you may have to knock out.

Other than the beer-out fitting the parts are all available at any good hardware store.

Herb lives in the steamy forests of San Dimas and has been brewing since 1992. He can be found most often online at the COVBS Forum or at his website: Brewin with Herb. When he's not brewing he is looking for snakes.

Hey Herb:

Neat gadget, that I can totally see me building.

But isn't there a typo in your write-up? If you're making a Bev-out cleaning, wouldn't you want to use a bev-out post? ;)

Thought this was way cool but I can't seem to find the correct MIP to Flare union.

Bought a 3/8" Flare x 1/2" MIP but the flare end doesn't seem to fit a bev out fitting.

Any suggestions?
