Welcome. You have found your way to the Wort-O-Matic, online home to my beer brewing writings, photos and videos as well as a collection of awesome brewing gadgets and how-to's from around the world.
Your feedback is welcome as long as your spelling isn't atrocious and you do not resort to txt msg speak. Either one will get deleted at my whim.
Push Eject -- the name -- was born in the early days of America Online. One evening it occurred to me that I probably should not have used my real name as my user name and should pick a new one.
I looked up at the computer sitting on my desk top and my eyes landed on the CD drive's drawer and its little button labelled
eject. Push Eject registered as a user moments later and the name has stuck ever since.
Homebrewing became a regular hobby in the Fall of 1999 when a kit from
The Home Beer Wine and Cheese Making Shop of Woodland Hills, CA seemed a good gift to a friend who earned himself a DUI.
In the Spring of 2006 I discovered
The Brewing Network and slowly became an active member of its great community of brewers and home brewers. When the time came to
give back to that community creatively, friend and fellow-brewer, Sven and I collaborated on a parody gangster rap song that was quite well received.
I continue to homebrew as often as an energetic family life allows and enter one or two competitions each year.
Hopefully you find something useful or interesting in these pages. Should I get lax about updating this site, feel free to harass me.
Just use a spell-checker.
